Bio

The Spoons were riding high in the trans-atlantic charts when trouble reared it's head. While on stage in Montreal, Sherveen tore ligament in her foot, prompting The Spoons to end their world tour early. Paul was furious, and claimed that Sherveen had been injured on purpose in order to have a holiday. In order to avert crisis, the record company gave both Paul and Sherveen 1 month off from working.

Early in September 2000, The Spoons fell apart. Paul and Sherveen had reunited to write their second album; both had been working on material during their month away. Although the press release that would follow claimed that the break up had been amicable, many fans believed that creative differences had arose. The most prevalent rumour was that Paul, still blaming Sherv for injuring herself, had vetoed all songs that Sherv had written for the new album, believing that any one of them would cause a repeat of 'the Clown incident.'
